John 是一位熱愛運動的人,但長期在右側髖部感到卡卡的,下肢(股四頭肌、髂脛束)也常處於緊繃狀態,使膝蓋容易不舒服。腰部與肩頸也偶爾會感到壓力與緊繃(特別是左側)。此外,因為右下腹曾經動過手術,疤痕區域讓活動感受受到限制,無論日常生活或運動表現都受到影響。
過去主要依靠傳統肌力訓練,也曾嘗試過不同方式讓身體放鬆,但效果都不持久。
當時看到很多 FP 的 Before/After,不論是靜態或動態,都能看到身體結構更均衡、骨盆與軀幹的連動更順暢,這正是他一直想追求的目標,因此決定開始 FP 訓練。
在接觸 FP 約一年七個月的時間中,訓練主要以站姿、走、跑與投擲等基本能力為核心。隨著身體使用方式的調整,多數不舒服的狀況逐漸減少,站姿與步態也因為動作協調性的提升而變得更加自然。
肩頸、膝蓋與腰部的不適感也從過去的 8 分下降到 0 分(10/8 → 10/0)。
而手術後造成的活動受限與重心偏差,也改善到只剩約 2 分的不適。

John is a sports enthusiast who has long experienced impingement issues in his right hip, leading to tightness in his lower limbs (quadriceps and iliotibial band), causing knee discomfort. Additionally, he suffers from lower back pain due to lumbar compression and noticeable discomfort in his neck and shoulders, especially on the left side. Due to a surgery, he has adhesions in his lower right abdomen, limiting his range of motion and affecting both his daily life and sports activities.
In the past, his primary training method was traditional strength training, and he also tried physical therapy with limited success.
He was initially drawn to FP (Functional Patterns) by the many before-and-after transformations, which showed balanced muscles, coordinated pelvis and trunk movements, and a well-proportioned body structure—attributes he aspired to achieve.
He has been training with FP for about a year and seven months, focusing on enhancing fundamental abilities such as standing, walking, running, and throwing. This training has significantly alleviated most of his discomforts. His posture and gait have visibly improved due to optimized body structure.
The discomfort in his shoulders, neck, knees, and lower back has all reduced from an 8 out of 10 to 0 out of 10.
More importantly, the movement limitations and poor weight transfer caused by his surgery have greatly improved, with discomfort decreasing from 8 to 2.
